  • 研究方向
  • Research in our laboratory mainly focuses on identifying evolutionary forces that underlie patterns of genetic variation and the roles of adaptive/deleterious variants in disease susceptibility in diverse ethnic groups of humans. We are broadly interested in studying a variety of topics including identifying recent evolutionary adaptation in diverse human ethnic groups, admixed ancestry characterization of human genomes, genome evolution, and conservation genetics. Current research projects include:

    • Admixed ancestry characterization of human genomes
    • Identifying genetic signatures of recent adaptation in humans
    • Phenome-wise association studies on evolutionary deleterious variants in humans
    • Polygenic adaption and risk-score prediction of metabolic and cardiovascular traits in human populations
    • Conservation genetics of endangered Taiwanese fruit bats (Pteropus dasymallus formosus)
